On Wednesday night our top women’s team went to local rivals from Svedala Volley to get a win and stay in 1st place in the league.
Svedala VBK B – Lunds VK damer A 0-3 (10-25, 18-25, 16-25)
We had to play the game without our captain and topscorer Lovisa Bergh who was in Stockholm, and she was missed tonight.
We won the match 3-0(25-10, 25-18, 25-16) and we are of course happy with the win. We managed to set up some good plays in transition several times, and game MVP Anna Westerlund scored 12 points in the game out of which 9 was in transition.

But this was also a game where we saw a Lund team far from the level we have seen this year, and we did not manage to play the kind of volleyball we work so hard on each day in practice.
Our passing got off to a bad start, and it never really recovered which made it tough for the rest of our game plan. Too many simple mistakes in offense and in serving gave Svedala many opportunities to score, but luckily for us they did not take advantage.
So on a day where we lacked communication and resilience, we still pulled off a solid win, and our middles especially showed off some good serving and blocking to help us get the win.
Sara Hansson played on the rightside today due to injuries on the team, and she really gave us a lift in defense where she had 12 digs to go with 8 points.
On a short week we head back home to play again this Saturday against Ymer.
Thank you to the supporters showing up tonight helping us to another win.. We play for you guys!!
