Damer A took their 8th straight win on Saturday against a frisky RIG Falköping B in Falköping. This was the first match of two for the weekend. The game was our hardest played one so far this season, RIG played opportunistic and went 120% for it with their serves which made it tough for us to get any rhythm.
The game ended with a 3-1 (25-22, 14-25, 25-13, 25-19) win and was based on our ability to develop and make adjustments during the game. We had new lineups in every set trying to find a winning formula, and it all came down to how we made changes in each set.
Game MVP was Sara Hansson who played on the leftside today stabilizing our passing and defense, but also big performances from Maja Bach who ran down multiple bad passes and gave our hitters a chance to win the point, and also top scorer Lovisa Bergh contributed a lot with 16 points. The entire team made a difference today where we got good points from the rightside in the 3rd and 4th set, and a lot of girls answered RIG’s tough serves with great serves of our own.
We are now 8-0 on the season and have a chance already tomorrow to extend our lead in the standing as we travel to Borås to play Ymer Volley.
Thank you to RIG for a fantastic match, we are proud of the answers we gave ourselves after losing the first set of the season.

Damer A won their 9th win in a row as we finished off our weekend on the road with a big 3-0 (31-29, 25-11, 25-9) win against Ymer on Sunday afternoon.
The first set was a little nervous at times, and our offense was not in sync which meant that we gave a lot of points and freeballs to Ymer, but as the set progressed so did our offense, and after surviving 3 set points we finally took the win ourselves 31-29. The girls had a chance to talk about how to fix things between the two sets, and from here on and out it was a cruise straight to the finish line.
Our passing today was fantastic lead by game MVP Felicia Österberg who had no less than 16 perfect passes in this game, and also contributed with 9 points on offense. Top scorer of today was Anna Westerlund scoring 15 points including 8 serving aces which is a season high. Also scoring double digits was Lovisa Bergh with 12 points, and Lovisa has now scored 10+ points in 8 matches in a row.
We now head home and have a two-week break before we play the other undefeated team in the league from KFUM Malmö.
